The first "Baby Ramen" (left) came out in 1959 and it was renamed "Baby Star Ramen" in 1971 since the maker wanted to build a bigger market among children.

In 1988, Babe-chan was designed and used as the mascot of "Baby Star Ramen" (Center)! Since this crispy noodle snack is originated from Chinese style noodles, you can see this lovely character is wearing a Chinese costume and a hat!

As the same for everyone, who can live without a friend? So later, a female mascot "Bi-chan" came out to make them a good pair!
