~ A Relaxing Walk in Azabu-juban ~
One of the most fashionable neighborhoods in Tokyo Japan
From stylish cafe to traditional Japanese snacks
Are you familiar with the famous Japanese comics Sailor Moon? If you are one of the fans, then you must have heard about Azabu-juban before! This beautiful neighborhood is said where the Sailor Moon's story takes place. From the train station where the main character Usagi (Sailor Moon) waits for her friends to the Shrine where Rei (Sailor Mars) works, these places are still the famous sightseeing spots for Sailor Moon fans!!
Actually this is the first time I came to visit this area too, I fell in love with this quiet and stylish neighborhood immediately. Are you ready to have a relaxing walk in Azabu-juban?
The easiest way to get to Azabu-juban is to take the Tokyo Metro or Toei Subway. Can you recall this station from the animation?

After getting out from the station, you can find a street with lots of shops right in front of you! Boutiques, supermarkets, cafe and bars can be found on this street. Let me show you a few interesting shops here!
A very interesting shop that sells the Japanese soup and ochazuke. Ingredients are contained inside a beautifully designed biscuit case. Just pour in hot water, then a bowl of nice Japanese soup is ready.

There are many shops selling souvenirs too. For example, the rusk cookies and traditional Japanese crackers etc.
Among those shops selling traditional Japanese snacks, I like this shop the most. Just try their freshly made crackers with salt, it is so crispy!! You will just love it. Other than that, you can also find different kinds of peanuts or nuts in this shop.

Time to meet Sailor Mercury!
Just one block from the shopping street, there is another spot where you might have seen it in Sailor Moon's animation!

This small garden is where Usagi first met her friend Ami (Sailor Mercury)!
The Little Girl In The Red Shoes
Don't forget to take a picture with Kimi-chan who is from an old Japanese song for children.
The story was about a little girl, Kimi, who was adopted by an American family and went to America with them. Kimi's mother believed that her daughter was living happily in America, but actually Kimi did not go to America. Instead, she was sent to an orphanage in Azabu-juban because she was ill. Sadly, she died at the age of nine.
Well, it is too sad to listen to Kimi-chan's story! We need something to cheer up!!!
Cream Puff From Osaka!!
Just from the picture, you can tell the puff is a bit different from the ones we always have. It is very crispy, and it is just a good match with the fresh cream!! Today, I tried the green tea flavor!!
Look how creamy it is!! They have benches inside and outside the shop too. It is a great place to take a rest and enjoy some very delicious cream puffs.
As from the poster, this is their first shop in Tokyo. They have 2 shops in Osaka and 5 shops in Korea too.
Hop Chou a la creme
Alright, we have to head for our next stop where another pretty guardian is waiting for us!!
Shrine Maiden - Sailor Mars

Although the name of the shrine was changed in the animation, just from the pictures, you can tell this is where Sailor Mars works and lives!!
Let's make a wish at the shrine!!
Higawa Shrine

After visiting the Higawa Shrine, it's time to return. On my way back to the main street, I found that Tokyo Tower was actually not too far away from Azabu-juban indeed!
Actually Azabu-juban is just behind another famous sightseeing spot, Roppongi. Just about 8 minutes walk, you can reach Roppongi easily.
I have a great idea for you here! After visiting Azabu-juban, you can go to Roppongi Hills to see the night view of Tokyo Tower at the Tokyo City View!! If you need more information, please check out our earlier sharing here:
Earlier this year, the Sailor Moon Event at Tokyo City View if you are also interested:
How do you like the relaxing walk in Azabu-juban? If you are tired of the busy areas like Shinjuku or Shibuya, Azabu-juban is a good place for you to visit!
