Kanazawa is located in the central part of Japan in Ishikawa Prefecture. Moreover, Kanazawa was not involved in any wars or natural disasters in the last 400 years, so it is said that Kanazawa is a city of luck! It is also called a second Kyoto since streets and buildings in style of Edo period can still be seen there today.

01. Higashi Tea House Street - (東茶屋街 Higashi Chaya Machi)
You can see and feel the traditional Japanese streets on this 200 meters long street in Kanazawa. Other than many different tea houses can be found here, you can also find luxurious restaurants run by Geisha. It is a great photo spot if you especially like the Edo period.

02.Kenroku Garden - (兼六園 Kenroku-en)
Known as one of the best 3 gardens in Japan, no matter it is the sakura season in Spring, or the red leaves season in Autumn or even the snow season in Winter, you can see amazing views in this garden which is just near the Kanazawa Castle (just 10-minute walk).
If you would like to take a break, you can visit some of the traditional tea shops there too.

03. Myojo Temple - (妙成寺 Myojo-ji)
This temple was built in 1294, and there are 10 important Japanese cultural assets can be found! It is also said that you can get good luck if you pay a visit there!
It is called one of the greatest construction of the early Edo period because the structure is really strong and it can resist earthquakes. It is a 5-story tower in the picture above.

04. 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa (21世紀美術館 21Seiki Bijutsukan)
Located in the central part of Kanazawa, 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa offers both art and creations from wide-ranging fields related to art, including music, performing arts, and films. The pool-like artwork is one of the famous piece at the museum. Why? I will let you find out by yourself!

05. Chiri Beach Driveway - (千里浜なぎさドライブウェイ Chiri Hama Nagisa Driveway)
Actually this is the only beach where you can drive your car on in Japan! Enjoy a new driving experience on this 8 kilometers long beach along the coast! It is a popular spot for many commercial and movies shooting too.
Enjoy driving and the beautiful sunset on this beautiful beach. However, you still need to be careful with other cars and the sands!

06. Ohmicho Market - (近江町市場 Ohmi-cho shijou)
This market is even called Kanazawa Kitchen! From groceries to raw fish, fruits, meat etc can all be found here. There are even restaurants where you can enjoy dishes made with fresh ingredients!
We highly recommend you to take a walk here in the morning and have lunch at one of the restaurants here.

01. Shinkansen Train Sushi?!!
Since there are so many restaurants in the market, which one should you choose?? We suggest you to try this famous sushi restaurant where you can always see a queue outside the shop!
One of the interesting things about this restaurant is that your sushi is brought to you by the shinkansen trains just like in the picture! All fish are caught in the Nanden Peninsula!
Both counter seats and table seats are available; however, shinkansen trains only provides their service to the table seats! Remember to press the red button at the bottom to send it back to the kitchen!!
