Episode 1 - Tokyo Midtown and Roppongi Hills
In just a month, the merriest season (to me) is coming to town! In Japan, right after the celebration of Halloween, Christmas decoration and merchandises cannot wait to meet every one!!
Japanese call Christmas lights "Illumination", and you can find lots of "Illumination" events in different places like shopping malls and parks etc.
Among all these Christmas celebration, which ones are worth visiting?? This year, we will pick a few nice ones for you.
Today, in our first episode, we will take you to one of the most popular sightseeing spots Roppongi and look at their Christmas celebration 2016!!
Tokyo Midtown - Midtown Christmas

Just outside the Tokyo Midtown shopping mall, you can find a garden decorated with thousands of LED lights. How romantic it is walking under these lighted up trees!!

Beside these "Christmas Trees", there is a special themed light show in the center of the garden every year. This year, the theme is "Starlight Garden 2016"!

Blue and white lights are used to create a galaxy for audiences in this 3 and half minutes long light show.

Speaking of the Christmas lights in Roppongi, how can we miss the most famous "illumination" on the Keyakizaka (けやき坂）. The trees on the whole street are decorated with white and red lights. You can also see Tokyo Tower from here too!
Catch the Power
Among the "Christmas trees", there is a special one which can be controlled by YOU!!

Just download the app to your mobile, then you can change the light colors as your like. You can even use the app to take some nice pictures with a specially designed photo frame. (Catch the Power tree is located at the red spot on the map.)

This year, Tokyo City view is going to reproduce the starry sky as we can see from forest without any lights around. Projection mapping technology will be used to transform the Tokyo night into a starry one!!
Of course, you can see the beautiful Tokyo night view from 52F of the Mori Tower!
You can even go up to the Sky Deck which is located at the top roof of Mori Tower. The night view is just amazing!! How romantic it is!
