It is time to say goodbye to Babe-chan and Bi-chan
Two famous characters of the popular Baby Star Crispy Noodle Snack
If you are familiar with the Japanese snacks, you must have tried or heard about "Baby Star Ramen" (Crispy Noodle Snack) before. Many children or even adults still love this deep fried flavored noodle snack today!

The first "Baby Ramen" (left) came out in 1959 and it was renamed "Baby Star Ramen" in 1971 since the maker wanted to build a bigger market among children.
In 1988, Babe-chan was designed and used as the mascot of "Baby Star Ramen" (Center)! Since this crispy noodle snack is originated from Chinese style noodles, you can see this lovely character is wearing a Chinese costume and a hat!
As the same for everyone, who can live without a friend? So later, a female mascot "Bi-chan" came out to make them a good pair!

For all these years, there were many different designs of the these lovely characters. The had different costumes and appeared in different packages of the snack.
On December 13, 2016, these two characters announced that they are going to retire from being the mascots of the famous noodle snack.

They even left a note for all the fans who support them for the last 30 years!
30 years is a long time, and it is time for this pair of characters to take a rest. Thank you! Babe-chan and Bi-chan!! We will miss you always! Bye!
