Recently we visited Kyoto and its Japanese gardens, Kanazawa's amazing traditional craftsmanship, and the luxury urban retreat of Tokyo. Our last stop is especially recommended for families, and of course amusement park lovers! So please take a look at what we found just minutes away from Tokyo Disney Resort®, at Mitsui Garden Hotel PRANA Tokyo Bay.

While your image of a hotel right in Tokyo Disney Resort® may be quite expensive, this hotel is really reasonable despite being so close to the park, and has spacious rooms to boot. On top of all that, there's even a free shuttle bus right from Tokyo Disney Resort® to the hotel, so you can bring whatever luggage you want without having to worry about dragging it around. Mitsui Garden Hotel PRANA Tokyo Bay is a Tokyo Disney Resort® partner hotel!

An Adventure Right From the Lobby

One of the key features of Mitsui Garden Hotel PRANA Tokyo Bay is its family-friendliness, and the hotel takes pride in providing a great family experience. This is clear from the moment you walk into the lobby, with its colorful design and places for kids to play. The "KIDS LOBBY", as it's called, is just across from the hotel check-in counter! And if you're on your way in, juggling all your bags, and need to keep track of your kids for now, the hotel offers free-to-use carts and strollers for guests.

Mitsui Garden Hotel PRANA Tokyo Bay's Other Convenient Guest Services

While the hotel is clearly set up to make travel with kids hassle-free, they offer some services that are really convenient for everyone. We were particularly intrigued by Mitsui Garden Hotel PRANA Tokyo Bay's baggage delivery service, available at the shop "Bon Voyage" (the Tokyo Disney Resort® store with the large red arch to the right of JR Maihama Station). If you want to head to Tokyo Disney Resort® right away, without checking in to the hotel first, you can check your bags at Bon Voyage's Home Delivery Service Counter, located on the first floor, for 400 yen. They'll send it over to your hotel room for you, and it'll be there waiting when you finish with your long day at the park!

• Free shuttle bus from Maihama Station & Airport Limousine Bus from both Narita and Haneda Airports.
• If you're weighed down with a few too many souvenirs, send your things right to the airport from the hotel! ⏰Service time: 7am〜1pm
• Whether you're traveling with little kids who are going to need it, or it's just a convenient addition, it's great to have coin-operated washing machines around!

• Tokyo Disney Resort® tickets are available for purchase right at the front desk.
• The hotel’s “Disney Fantasy” souvenir shop offers guests a variety of Tokyo Disney Resort® merchandise. ⏰8am〜9pm

A Room for Any and Every Guest

Terrace: 🐭Suitable for: 5〜6 people

The terrace room is the largest room type available (784ft²/72.9m²), and includes 6 beds and a cozy living space. They designed it to accommodate a larger number of people, so it includes two toilets and washstands. You won't have to worry about everybody trying to share a single bathroom! If you're visiting with small children, the hotel also has children's toilet seats, bottle sterilizers, children's bath products, etc. available free of charge. Just ask right at the front desk.

Prana Fourth: 🐭Suitable for: 4 people

The Prana fourth room was designed to be especially good for families with younger children, with low beds and lots of rounded edges on the tables and headboards. Plus, not only will this accommodating kid-friendly design put parents at ease, the room is also designed around the concept of a meadow, making it extra relaxing. To keep the room as relaxing and fresh as a meadow, they ask that you take your shoes off at the entrance of the room.

Safe rounded headboards, beds okay to roll around on without fear of a fall from high up, and a roomy bathroom.

Balcony Fourth: 🐭Suitable for: 4 people

Mitsui Garden Hotel PRANA Tokyo Bay's balcony fourth room is both the most common and also most popular room in the hotel. With the balconies all over the hotel, each room offers a unique view, many of which overlook Tokyo Disney Resort®, or Tokyo Bay and all the lovely ships that cross the waters. These rooms are designed around a fresh fruit theme, which means they are decorated in orange, pink, or green! You can't choose your room color beforehand, so it's a fun surprise when you arrive.

More Hotel Facilities

• The hotel has a large penthouse public bath available for guests, featuring gorgeous sunset views of Tokyo Bay. ⏰5〜9am, 6pm〜1am (following day)
• Traditionally, many Japanese hot springs and public baths don't allow patrons with tattoos. This one, however, takes both traditional culture and modern visitors into account, and provides these band-aid-like stickers for guests to cover any tattoos. This way, anyone can enjoy the steaming water worry-free! 
• The hotel provides a public relaxation space for guests; a great place to hang out in your pajamas.

A Truly Impressive Breakfast Spread

Mitsui Garden Hotel PRANA Tokyo Bay works to make all the families staying over feel at home, and this work includes their breakfast offerings! The breakfast buffet is available at their restaurant Prana Style, and is really worth your time.

Being in Japan, there are plenty of Japanese breakfast staples available, but there's also a good variety for guests looking for more of a Western-style meal. Unlike the simple rolls and scrambled eggs you might find elsewhere, this hotel has plenty of great unique offerings! "Honey Toast", a dish currently trending in cafes in Tokyo, is considered the breakfast buffet's signature dish. If you're not yet familiar with this heavenly dish, it involves loaves of bread baked whole with melted butter and honey, and then topped with your choice of a variety of toppings. A truly decadent and delicious way to start your day at the park. On top of this, the breakfast buffet also has a pancake bar (so you can make the pancakes of your dreams), and even bread pudding. Mitsui Garden Hotel PRANA Tokyo Bay really knows how to do the most important meal of the day!

Along with the standard adult buffet, children can serve themselves from a special kids buffet! There's even special children's tableware available. And if you'd rather get your food to go, you can do that too. (Unfortunately no coming back for seconds if you do this, though!) 

With spring and summer vacations on the horizon, finding a relaxing and accommodating place to stay around Tokyo Disney Resort® is really important. This holds especially true if you're planning a family trip! Hotels that are genuinely child-friendly and reasonably priced, with spacious rooms and great breakfast offerings, are few and far between. Mitsui Garden Hotel PRANA Tokyo Bay has a lot in common with resorts in America, which might be why it appeals so much to foreign guests. If you are heading to Tokyo Disney Resort® any time soon, we can't recommend Mitsui Garden Hotel PRANA Tokyo Bay enough. If for no other reason than the great location, where you can beat some of the crowd on the way to all the rides! 🐭
