The American DEATH NOTE movie
has created some controversy and debate
mostly due to the cast and story being different from the original.
However, that's not what we're here to discuss.
The point is that DEATH NOTE
really has became an international phenomenon!!!

The plot to DEATH NOTE THE MUSICAL
is similar to the original manga series.

For those who aren't too familiar,
it's about a high school student name Light Yagami
who receives a supernatural notebook from a Shinigami (death god) named Ryuk.

The notebook, called DEATH NOTE,
grants its owner the ability to kill anyone whose name is written down.
The only thing is you have to know their full name and face,
or else it won't work.

The series centers around Light's attempts to create
and rule a world cleansed of evil by killing criminalsand becoming a "God" by using the DEATH NOTE.
Eventually an awkward yet brilliant detective known as L,
along with Light's father who is also a detective,
