Maybe you have heard about or even visited stylish areas like Omotesando (表参道）, Aoyama （青山）, Daikanyama （代官山）or even Jiyugaoka （自由が丘） before. These areas are not only famous for the stylish shops and cafe, some of them are even selected by Japanese as "The areas that they want to live in the most"!
Today, I want to take you to a place that is not familiar by tourists. However, it is a stylish place for many young Japanese and families.
Futako-Tamagawa (二子玉川）
Just 10 minutes train ride from Shibuya, you can reach Futako-Tamagawa Station. It is located in Setagaya-ku of Tokyo. It is on the north-east bank of the Tama River too!
Let's see what is interesting in this top 10 ranked area that Japanese want to live in!!
Once you get out of the station, you can find a huge commercial complex "Futako-Tamagawa Rise". Of course, famous fashions brands can be found here. However, there are some special shops here that you should not miss.
Highly recommended - TSUTAYA ELECTRICS
You may have known Tsutaya as a big CD and DVD store. However, this unique and special Tsutaya electrics shop is so different from the ones that you have seen. First of all, their interior design is amazing. From the floor to the walls and ceiling, you should pay a visit and look at the details slowly. You will understand why so many Japanese want to get a cup of coffee and sit inside this store!
Other than CDs, DVDs, books and magazines, you can find other kinds of products like beauty, kitchen wares, house wares, interior decoration etc here. If you are tired, there are coffee shops and convenient stores where you can get something to drink and eat. Just feel free to find a space in the shop and take some rest!

This Christmas, Tokyu group brings you the "Disney's Crystal Magic" event. In different Tokyu's shopping malls, you can find different themed Christmas tree and decoration!
At "Futako-Tamagawa Rise", you can see the Cinderella's Enchanted Tree!! Look closely, you can find the glass slipper left on the stairs!

Futako-Tamagawa Park
If shopping is not your cup of tea, no worries. Just walk through the shopping complex, then you can find a really nice park at the end!
I visited the park on Sunday and I could see many young families taking their small kids here to enjoy the fresh air and the green.
Since it is the autumn season, you can also find some autumn leaves in the park too!
As I mentioned earlier, Futako-Tamagawa is located near the Tama River. Actually you can get a good view of the river from the park too.
How about drinking some nice coffee while watching this nice view of Tama River?
