JAPANKURU Returns from J-POP SUMMIT 2017

Some of Day 1's Highlights

There it is!!
The Fort Mason Festival Pavilion for the 2017 J-POP SUMMIT!!!
The weather was so so nice and clear
making it enjoyable for everyone traveling inside and out.

A lot of work from everyone went into making an exciting and appealing booth!
The new set up of the whole event made it really fun and a nice challenge.
Being the first thing most people see once they enter the doors,
JAPANKURU wanted there to be a massive impact!

So we included a lot of pictures and monitors playing short clips
introducing not only JAPANKURU
but some of the wonderful cultural and fun sides of JapanπŸ—Ύ✨

°˖✧JAPANKURU BOOTH HIGHLIGHTS✧˖°

The Tokyo booth had lines of people waiting to get their nails done
along with a traditional calligraphy are
where you could write the chinese characters for "Tokyo" (東京)

The stuffed alpaca and capybara animals
stole the attention at the Tochigi area.
Thanks to those animals though,
a lot of people grew interest in Tochigi and what's there!

 At the Rinka/VANQUISH booth
everyone wanted to wear yukatas to walk around in
and check out some of the cool fashion trends currently in Shibuya.

The at the Tokyo Daijingu booth,
people could make their own shimenawa (しめγͺわ)!
Shimenawa is rice straw used for ritual purification in the Shinto religion.
There is a shrine in Shimane prefecture that is FAMOUS for shimenawa!
There were pictures of that shrine all around the booth~

Something special JAPANKURU brought to J-POP summit
was it's VR (virtual reality) goggles!
At the J
apanese Ryokan, VANQUISH, and of course JAPANKURU booths
you could experience and get information on Japan!
It was something fun and popular for people to interact with.
