that is based around two rabbits having sex๐ฐ♡๐ฐ
This time JAPANKURU is gonna share with you all our Fukuoka trip,
including some of the key points to check out
if you yourself get the chance to go!

HAKATA STATION
ๅๅค้ง
Hakata Station is like the "Tokyo Station of Kyushu".
It links Fukuoka to other major and minor cities in Japan
by shinkansen and other train lines.
the area made worldwide news when the road collapsed
creating a giant sinkhole
(apparently about 1/2 the size of an Olympic pool)
causing power, water, and gas supplies to be cut
in parts of the city.
Thankfully the road was soon repaired,
but being there and seeing the area yourself,
it was crazy to imagine such a thing happened.
*Shopping at the Station*
A well known figure...I guess you could say,
of Fukuoka is the Hakata Niwaka.
of Fukuoka is the Hakata Niwaka.
Which is a type of comedic traditional performance
where performers wear Niwaka,
which means half-face masks in Japanese.
There are all kinds of Niwaka goods in Hakata,
but Niwaka senbei specifically is a really popular souvenir.
In the food market area of Hakata Station,
we were able to find some Niwaka senbei!!
They come in all sizes,

but of course the bigger the funnier!

It's more of a shopping and dining area,
but really relaxed compared to other similar places like Shinjuku.

There are two major famous Hakata ramen restaurants in Japan,
Ichiran and Ippudo.
We personally love Ippudo,
but Ichiran is of course great too!
Since we came to Hakata,

we wanted to go to Ippudo's very first store!!
Which~

just so happens to be in Tenjin!
The taste was surprisingly
(but also not surprisingly if that makes sense)
different than the Ippudo's we've been to in Tokyo!
You better believe we ate every last noodle
and drank every last drop of that broth๐๐๐๐

As if the massive rabbit in the window wasn't enough,
you walk in and you see posters, hats, and shirts
with slogans like "I just wanna fxxk you".

Which is really good advertising though
because it definitely brought curious customers in.
It has a "men's clothing" sort of feel to it,
but really it's for anyone.
Along with street clothes,
there were PJs, house slippers, and sweats.

two bunnies in heat stuffed animal,
and secret containers of condoms that look like

We walked around and did a bit of shopping,
and decided to stop for dinner at one of the restaurants
for Hataka's other famous food/drink,
shochu (sweet potato liquor) and
motsu nabe (hotpot of cow and pig intestine and veggies).
Not all of us could eat the hotpot,
so we ordered other stuff too but if you're one of those people
who will try anything once,

Fukuoka's open air food stands (ๅฑๅฐ; yatai)

Fukuoka is the only prefecture in Japan that allows yatai.
Yatai can generally seat about 10 people and
you just hang out and enjoy the environment of Fukuoka's night life!

Typical dishes you'll find at yatai are grilled chicken skewers (yakitori),
oden (like Japanese hotpot) and of course the ever famous Hakata Ramen,

Fukuoka's yatai is probably our favorite part of Fukuoka๐
Yatai are located all throughout Fukuoka,
but probably the best and most popular areas are the ones around Canal City.

Thus these shrines are very popular among students.
