Exploring the 2016 Izu Peninsula Cherry Blossoms in Kawazu: Top 5 Cherry Blossom Displays

At around this time every year it's known as the
 cherry blossom season, not just in Japan, but all over 
world where people are fortunate enough to bear
 witness to the flowers seductive and beautiful prowess.
 Because the flowers themselves are influenced
by climate you'll often find the first blooms occurring
around the end of January in hotter places.

This time we visited the Izu Peninsula in Shizuoka Prefecture
 Kawazu, to witness a beautiful scene of rich canola flowers,
cherry blossoms and to write this article about
the top 5 kinds of cherry blossoms! ^^

Before going on to the article, let us share with 
you the top 5 that we'll be talking about..

1 Tsuyama Castle
Okayama / Tsuyama 
Expected peak period:

2 Okazaki Park
, Aichi / Okazaki City

3 Rikugien Park

# Voices of Spring from Hejin

Hejin is located on the east coast of the Izu Peninsula
 in Shizuoka Prefecture, and in February saw full bloom.
 In the early spring, Kawazu cherry is known by many to be
 Japanese cherry blossom Holy Land. Deep pink petals line the
walkways for about a month attracting tourists from far and
wide.

* Okinawa and Shizuoka Prefecture Kawazu are
the first places you'll cherry blossoms in Japan
each year. ~



#Cherry blossom tunnel

Since Kawazu cherry blossom blooms lasts for much
longer than most places, it's a popular tourists destination!
 This time they're celebrating the 26th Kawazu Cherry
 Blossom Festival, which gives even more of a reason
to visit Kawazu to see the pretty pinks and beautifully
 yellow illuminated canola flowers!

 flowers, competing for attention. This Spring how

From Tokyo Station (JR Tokaido Shinkansen:) about
 45 minutes ➔ Atami Station
From Atami Station (transfer the JR Itō Line: about 27 minutes)
➔ Ito Station
From Ito Station (change to the Izu Express Line: about 58 minutes)
➔ Kawazu Station
Total time: about 2 hours 31 minutes

[ JR Tokaido Line / JR Itō Line ]
From Tokyo Station (JR Tokaido Line: about 113 minutes)
➔ Atami Station
(Transfer to Ito line: about 24 minutes) Atami Station to
➔ Ito Station
From Ito Station (change to the Izu Express Line: about 55 minutes)
➔ Kawazu Station
Total time: 3 hours 19 minutes

You can make it to Kawazu via car using the Tomei highway Atsugi
 IC in Tokyo, and it takes about 2 hours and 30 minutes.



# Goddess of spring - cherry

The Japanese cherry tree is truly a gift, a present to us all 
from February, along with somewhat warmer sunny weather. 
Kawazu, Izu as described by Kawabata," pure, lovely, pink, and
 quiet".  A great place to visit with friends or family and spend
some special time together.



Looking at this image, how do you feel? This year Japan is 
going to be just as beautiful through April. Even if you miss
it this year, there's always the rebirth next year! Always some-
