On August 22, 2017 there was a total solar eclipse for all of North America to see!
In fact, it's the first total solar eclipse to be viewed from the United States in 38 years!!!
What about Japan though?

Apparently,
the next total solar eclipse that can be seen in Japan will be September 2, 2035.
You can see the total solar eclipse from the northern Kanto region to the Noto Peninsula region,
then a partial solar eclipse from all over Japan.
